Israel bombs Hezbollah's turf; Kills Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah

The Bekaa Valley, a Hezbollah bastion in eastern Lebanon, had mostly been spared over 11 months of war. But The New York Times saw widespread devastation there after intense Israeli airstrikes this week.

In 32 years in charge of Hezbollah, Mr. Nasrallah, 64, has built the Iranian-backed militia into an influential force in Lebanon and a potent adversary of Israel.
